Why I Love the Reddit Video Channel

When  was a kid my favorite dollar purchase at the Depaneur was the ‘surprise bag.’ For those that grew up outside Quebec a Depaneur is a convenience store and a surprise bag was (I haven’t seen them in years)… Well, it was never the same thing twice.

Sometimes it was a great deal for a buck - a matchbox car with jawbreakers and sours… Other times I wound up with nobrand chocolate bars that had turned white with age and tasted like old bread…

As I grew older I realized that it wasn’t so much about what I got as it was about the anticipation of the unknown.  Like life, the surprise bag promised that the only thing that was certain was that nothing was certain.

Which brings us (at last) to the Reddit Video Channel… The clips have been vetted by the Reddit Hivemind so although you never know what you’re going to get there’s a quality control filter built in. Simply put Reddit Video Channel = Win > Derp
